Camp Creation
Restoring the Legacy

The Joy of Jesus summer camp program, Camp Jubilee, provided a unique residential summer camp experience for over 18,000 children over the past 40 years. Founded by the late Rev. Eddie Edwards, Joy of Jesus and Camp Jubilee made a positive impact on Detroit's inner city youth who would otherwise not have had the life changing camp experience the program offered.

Camp Jubilee has been absent of laughter and youthful energy for the last 10 years. It's time to change that!

Kurk Edwards, the son of the late Eddie Edwards, has taken what his father started and breathed new life into his legacy.

Camp Jubilee is now Camp Creation

While budget cuts continue to negatively impact summer youth programs, Joy Jem aspires to build and sustain a summer camp program that promotes core skills while letting kids be kids and having the time of their lives.
